Caofeidian District (Tanghai County), under the jurisdiction of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is located in the center of the Bohai Sea, in the south of Tangshan, adjacent to Beijing and Tianjin, in the south of the Bohai Sea, across the sea from Dalian, Yantai, North Korea and South Korea, with a total area of 2114 square kilometers, including 1408.14 square kilometers of land and 705.86 square kilometers of sea area under its jurisdiction.
