Tong 'an District, under Xiamen City, Fujian Province. Located in the southeast coast of Fujian Province, north of Xiamen City. It is connected to Xiangan District of Xiamen City in the east, Changtai District of Zhangzhou City in the west, Anxi County of Quanzhou City and Nan 'an City in the north, Jimei District of Xiamen City in the southwest and the sea in the southeast, with a total area of 657.59 square kilometers. As of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Tong 'an District is 855,920. [28] The total registered population is 405,300. It is composed of 34 ethnic groups, mainly Han people.
