Tumet Right Banner, under the jurisdiction of Baotou City, is between 110°14 '~ 111°07' east longitude and 40°14 '~ 40°51' north latitude, located in the south of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the north bank of the Yellow River, between Hohhot City and Baotou City. It is adjacent to Tumet Left Banner and Toketuo County in the east, facing Junge Banner and Dalat Banner across the Yellow River in the south, connected to Baotou city in the west, and bordering Guyang County and Wuchuan County in the north. The total area is 2368 square kilometers. According to the data of the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Tumet Right Banner is 237,421. There are 16 ethnic groups in Tumet Right Banner, with Mongolian as the main ethnic group, accounting for 3.3% of the total population. There were 8,100 Mongolians, and 0.2,900 other ethnic minorities.
