Wudi County, affiliated to Binzhou City of Shandong Province, is located in the north of Shandong Province, near Bohai Bay in the northeast, Zhanhua District in the southeast, Yangxin County in the south, Qingyun County in Dezhou City in the west, Zhangweixin River in the north and Haixing County and Huanghua City of Cangzhou City in Hebei Province. It is located between latitude 37°4' -- 38°16' north and longitude 117°31' -- 118°04' east, with a total area of 2089.77 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 2 subdistricts and 10 towns.

Wudi County is the meeting point of the two major economic zones of Beijing, Tianjin, Tang and Shandong Peninsula, and is known as the "hub of Hebei and Shandong" and "Qiyan Fortress". It is the key area of the comprehensive development of the Yellow River Delta, and also the front position of the construction of "maritime Shandong".
