Wugang City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, is managed by Pingdingshan City. It is located in the middle of Henan Province, between 33 ° 08 ′ - 33 ° 25 ′ 25 ″ north latitude and 113 ° 21 ′ 27 ″ - 113 ° 40 ′ 51 ″ east longitude. In September 1990, with the approval of the State Council, Wugang District was abolished and Wugang City was established. As of June 2020, Wugang has jurisdiction over 7 streets, 4 towns and 3 townships, and the municipal people's government is stationed in the party and government complex of Yakou Administrative New Area.
