Wuji County, under the jurisdiction of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located 50 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital Shijiazhuang. Its geographical coordinates are 114 ° 47 ′ - 115 ° 28 ′ E and 38 ° 03 ′ - 38 ° 18 ′ N. Wuji County is located in the central plain of Hebei Province, with four distinct seasons, abundant light and heat resources, abundant rainfall and long frost free period. In the year of Luyin (722 B.C.), the doctor Wu Haishuai occupied the Jiyi (now Jiting, Yutai County, Shandong Province), and the Jihou fled to Yan. Yan was granted the title of marquis here (now Wuji County), which is also called Jiyi. In the second year of Duke Yin of Lu (721 BC), the doctor Wuhai ordered troops to invade the Miji, and renamed it Wuji, which means "Miji". In the second year of Empress Wu Zetian's reign (697), she changed from nothing to nothing, that is, to the present day. In the 12th year of Emperor Yongzheng's reign (1734), it belonged to Zhengding Prefecture. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Fan Yang Road was set to govern Wuji County, and in the seventeenth year of the Republic of China (1928), Wuji County was abolished, directly under Hebei Province. On August 1, the 38th year of the Republic of China (1949), Wuji County was under the jurisdiction of Dingxian District, Hebei Province. In April 1954, it was changed to Shijiazhuang District. In 1958, Wuji Gaocheng Luancheng was merged into Gaocheng County. In 1962, the three counties were restored. Zhen Luo, empress of Wei Wenzhao, Zhen Chen, a writer in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Zhen Luan, a mathematician in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and other celebrities of the Zhen family all came from this place. Wuji is also the hometown of Liu Kun, a patriotic general and poet in the Western Jin Dynasty.

In 2020, the GDP of Wuji County will reach 13.134 billion yuan, and the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents will reach 33187 yuan and 17662 yuan respectively. The total fiscal revenue reached 1.2 billion yuan, and the general public budget revenue reached 830 million yuan, 1.4 times and 1.75 times higher than that in 2015, respectively.
