Xiaoyi City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Shanxi Province, is managed by Luliang City. It is located in the west of the hinterland of Shanxi Province, at the east foot of the middle section of Luliang Mountains, in the southwest corner of Taiyuan Basin, adjacent to Fenyang City in the north, Zhongyang County in the northwest, Jiaokou County in the west, Lingshi County in the south, and Jiexiu City across the Fenhe River in the southeast.
