Xinfeng County, a county under the jurisdiction of Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, is located at the intersection of five cities (Guangzhou, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Huizhou and Heyuan) in the north of the central part of Guangdong Province and the southern end of Shaoguan City. It connects Conghua District of Guangzhou City and Longmen County of Huizhou City in the south, Wengyuan County in the north, Lianping County of Heyuan City in the east, and Fogang County of Qingyuan City in the west. Before the establishment of Xinfeng County, it belonged to Longchuan County, Nanhai County. In January 1975, Xinfeng County was under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou. In January 1988, Xinfeng County was transferred back to Shaoguan City.
