Xinjin District, affiliated to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is located in the southern suburbs of Chengdu, along the Minjiang River. Xinjin, named after the Northern Zhou Dynasty, is one of the birthplaces of ancient Shu civilization in Chengdu Plain, a member of Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Circle Demonstration Zone, and the southern gate of Chengdu. It is adjacent to Shuangliu District in the east, Pengshan District in Meishan City in the south, Qionglai City in the west, Dayi County and Chongzhou City in the north, and has an administrative area of 330 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 4 streets and 4 towns.
