Xintian County, under the Yongzhou City of Hunan Province. Located in the south of Hunan Province, the east of Yongzhou City, Chenzhou City in the east of Guiyang County, Chenzhou Jiahe County, west Ningyuan County, north Qiyang County and Hengyang Changning City. The geographical coordinates are 112°02' ~ 23' east longitude and 25°40' ~ 26°06' north latitude. The total area is 1022.4 square kilometers. Xintian, is the national health county, Hunan Province civilization county and Hunan Province garden county. There are Fuyinshan National Forest Park, Ancient Cave Stone Sheep, Wudang Mountain, Daguanling Castle, Goose Well and other scenic spots, Longjia Courtyard, Pengzi City, Tanwenxi and other ancient dwellings, with more than 2,400 years of ginkgo trees. There are 54 ruins of Shang and Zhou Dynasties, Song Dynasties, Ming Dynasties and Qing Dynasties found in Xintian County, as well as ruins of Shang Dynasty in Longquan Mountain, Confucian Temple, "Pacification of Junggar Tablet Inscriptions" written by Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Qingyun Pagoda, etc. On February 29, 2020, the People's Government of Hunan Province agreed to remove Xintian County from the poverty-stricken county.
