Xiushui County, under the jurisdiction of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province, the west of Jiujiang City, the upper reaches of Xiuhe River, is located between Mufu Mountain and Jiuling Mountain range. It is the junction of three provinces (Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei) and nine counties (Jing 'an, Fengxin, Yifeng, Tonggu, Pingjiang, Tongcheng, Chongyang, Tongshan, Wuning). On April 26, 2020, Xiushui County reached the conditions for poverty alleviation and was declared to be a poverty-stricken county.
In 2020, according to the preliminary calculation, the annual GDP of the county was 25.701 billion yuan, calculated at comparable prices, an increase of 4.1% over the previous year.
