Xunke County is subordinate to Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province, located in the northern frontier of Heilongjiang Province, the northern foot of the middle part of the Lesser Khingan Mountains, the right bank of the middle part of Heilongjiang Province, there is a border of 135 kilometers, and Amur Mykhailov district of Russia across the river. The area covers 127°24 '-129°17' east longitude and 47°58 '-49°36' north latitude. It is adjacent to Jiayin County in the east, Yichun City, Suilang County and Bei 'an City in the south, Wudalianchi City and Sunwu County in the west, and 165 kilometers away from Heihe urban area. According to the seventh census, Xunke County had a permanent population of 82,134 as of midnight on November 1, 2020.

Xunke County covers an area of 17,344 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 7 townships, 2 towns, 1 sub-district and 74 administrative villages. Xunke County has 123 large and small rivers. On July 29, 2020, it was selected into the list of towns (counties) reconfirmed as National Health Care in 2019.
