Yangshuo County, subordinate to Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Guangxi, south of Guilin City, east Gongcheng County, Pingle County, south Lipu City, west Yongfu County, Lingui District, and north Lingchuan County, Yanshan District bordering. The county is 65 kilometers away from Guilin city, with a total area of 1,436 square kilometers and 20,000 hectares of cultivated land. It has jurisdiction over 6 towns and 3 townships, with 11 ethnic groups such as Han, Zhuang, Yao and Hui. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Yangshuo County was 273,124.

Yangshuo County has 15 business scenic spots such as Lijiang River Scenic Spot, Impression · Liu Sanjie, Bilianfeng Mountain and Water Park, Polongtan, Butterfly Spring, Liu Sanjie Water Park and Jianshan Temple. In November 2018, it was listed on the "Top 100 Happy Counties of China 2018". In September 2019, Yangshuo County was selected as one of the first national tourism demonstration zones. On September 20, 2019, it was awarded the honorary title of National Model Unit of greening. In December 2020, it was named as the 2019 Advanced County of high-quality development in Guangxi by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
