Yingshan County, subordinate to Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northeast of Sichuan Basin, between Jialing River and Qujiang River basin, is the east gate of Nanchong City, the south and reform and opening up chief designer Xiaoping hometown, north and the founding father Marshal Zhu De old residence, has a geographical location from Dachuan to Hubei in the east, near Guang 'an to Chongqing in the south, Nanchong to Chengdu in the west, Bazhong to Qinchuan. It got its name because "the hills around the county are like a camp". The county has been built for 1400 years and has a reputation as "the official of the imperial court and the capital of Shu". From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, 57 scholars were produced, and it is an important economic and cultural town in the northeast of Sichuan throughout the ages. The county covers an area of 1,635 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 3 sub-district offices and 26 townships. According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Yingshan County has a permanent population of 620,480 people. In 2019, the county's GDP reached 21.15 billion yuan and its general public budget revenue reached 850 million yuan.

Yingshan County is the core of economic radiation of the four prefectural cities of Nanchong, Guang 'an, Dazhou and Bazhong. It is one of the three counties and cities established as the first to be built into a big city in Nanchong. It is the transportation framework of one railway, four expressways, one country road, four provincial roads and one ring road, and the passenger flow of Yingshan station ranks 7th among county-level stations in China. Yingshan County is one of the top 100 counties of small and medium-sized cities with the most investment potential in China, one of the top 100 counties of eco-tourism in China, Advanced County of National Science and Technology work, Civilized City of Sichuan Province, Green Model County of Sichuan Province, Advanced County economic development of Sichuan Province, and one of the first batch of pilot counties of power expansion in Sichuan Province. In December 2013, it became the first county-level city in Southwest China to start running cars. In December 2016, it became the first county-level city in the western region to build a ring road. In August 2020, it was named the 2017-2019 cycle National Health County by the National Health Care Committee.
In 2019, Yingshan County hosted the Tour of Sichuan International Cycling League, Yingshan International Marathon, the National Youth BMX Championship, and the Finals of the China BMX Cycling League.
