Yinjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, affiliated to Tongren City, Guizhou Province, is located in the northeast of Guizhou Province, the west of Tongren City, the terrain is high in the east and low in the west, southeast inclined to the northwest, winter without cold, summer without heat; It covers an area of 1,969 square kilometers. Yinjiang is located at the western foot of Fanjing Mountain. It was founded in Siwang County during the reign of Tang Wude (618-626). In 1987, Yinjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County was established with the approval of The State Council, with 303, 304 provincial highways and Hangzhou-Rui Expressways running through the city. The Yinjiang is home to the Tujia, Miao and Han nationalities. Mr. Yan Yinliang, who wrote the plaque of "Summer Palace", is one of the representatives of its calligraphy culture. State Councilor Dai Bingguo, American space doctor Wu Xuechao and a number of celebrities; Fanjing Mountain, in the eastern part of the county, was designated a national nature reserve by The State Council in 1986. In March 2019, it was listed among the first batch of counties under protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. On April 24, 2019, the People's Government of Guizhou Province officially approved the withdrawal of Yinjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County from the poverty-stricken county list.
In 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Yinjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County reached 11.976 billion yuan, an increase of 4.4% over the previous year, ranking fifth in the city in terms of growth rate.
