Yiwu County, subordinate to Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Xinjiang, in the eastern section of the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, with a total area of 19519 square kilometers. Yiwu County has a temperate continental arid climate, and the county government is located in Yiwu Town. By the end of 2019, Yiwu County had a registered residence population of 21070.

Yiwu is an ancient place name of Hami before the Sui and Tang dynasties. It is called Yiwu Lu in the Han Dynasty. Yiwu County was established in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. On September 1, 1950, the People's Government of Yiwu County was formally established. There are four main external traffic channels in Yiwu County, the first is the Hayi Line, the second is the Naolu Line, the third is the Naolu Line, and the fourth is the Naolu Line. There are many scenic spots in the county, such as Kerrick Glacier and Fantasy Lake. On January 22, 2020, Yiwu County was selected as the "2019 National Garden County".
