Yongjia County, a county under the jurisdiction of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, is located in the southeast of Zhejiang Province, the north bank of the lower reaches of the Oujiang River, east Yueqing, Huangyan, west Qingtian, Jinyun, north Xianju, south and Wenzhou city across the river. The total area is 2677.64 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 7 streets, 11 towns and 4 townships. It is known as "the hometown of Longevity in China", "the hometown of Pump and valve in China", "the City of Buttons in China" and "the City of Toys in China". It is the fourth largest county in Zhejiang and the first largest county in Wenzhou, as well as the first batch of coastal counties open to the outside world, the largest county of Chinese culture and tourism, the thousand-year-old county of China, and the old revolutionary base county of Zhejiang. According to the seventh census, the permanent population of Yongjia County was 869,548 as of midnight on November 1, 2020.

Yongjia has a long history, built more than 1,800 years ago, in the history of Yongjia County, followed by Wenzhou Prefecture, is the historical root of Wenzhou, the source of culture. Yongning County was founded in the third year of Yonghe of Shun Emperor of Han Dynasty (AD 138). In the ninth year of Kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (AD 589), it was renamed Yongjia County, which means "long and beautiful water". It is also the origin of Wenzhou culture. In May 1949, the whole territory of Yongjia was liberated and Shuangxi County was set up. In September, Shuangxi County was renamed Yongjia County. The former site of Shuangxi County government was Dongzong Temple in Lishui Street, Yantou Town.

In December 2018, Yongjia County was listed as one of the top 100 counties in terms of economic investment potential. In March 2019, it was listed as the first batch of counties under the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. China's top 100 tourist counties and cities in 2019.
In July 2020, Yongjia County was confirmed as the National Health County in 2019 by the National Health Care Committee. [9] On October 9, 2020, it was awarded the fourth batch of national ecological civilization Construction Demonstration City and county title by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. In 2020, the GDP of Yongjia County was 46.189 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 3.7 percent.
