Yuqing County is a county under the jurisdiction of Zunyi City of Guizhou Province, located in the hinterland of central Guizhou and the southeast corner of Zunyi. It is the junction of Zunyi, Tongren, South Guizhou and southeast Guizhou. It borders Shiqian County in the east, Huangping County in the south, Shibing County in the southeast, Weng 'an County in the southwest, Meitan County in the northwest, and Fenggang County in the northeast. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Yuqing County was 223,952. There are 22 ethnic groups including Han nationality, Miao nationality, Dong nationality, Gelao nationality and Tujia nationality.
As of 2016, Yuqing County has jurisdiction over 8 towns, 1 nationality township and 1 subdistrict, with a total of 70 villages.
In 2020, according to the unified accounting results of regional GDP, the annual GDP reached 8.564 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4% year on year, 3.1 percentage points higher than the national GDP, 0.9 percentage points higher than the provincial GDP, and 0.8 percentage points higher than the municipal GDP.
