Zhengan County

Zheng 'an County is a county under the jurisdiction of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. It is located in the northeast of Zunyi City. It is at the forefront of Guizhou connecting with Chongqing and an important economic and cultural intersection area of southern Chongqing and Northern Guizhou, and is known as the "Gateway of Northern Guizhou". Zheng 'an County is located in the northern part of Guizhou Province, bordered by Nanchuan District of Chongqing to the north, adjacent to Daozhen Gelao and Miao Autonomous Counties and Wuchuan Gelao and Miao Autonomous Counties to the northeast, bordered by Fenggang and Meitan counties to the southeast, Suiyang County to the south, and Tongzi County to the northwest.

Zheng 'an County covers an area of 2,595 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 20 towns (townships and subdistricts). It has 23 ethnic minorities such as Gelao, Miao and Tujia. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Zheng 'an County was 396,159. The famous and excellent specialties of Zheng 'an County mainly include wild papaya and Zheng 'an White tea, and the scenic spots mainly include Yin Zhen Bubentang and Jiudaosui National Forest Park.

In March 2019, it was listed among the first batch of counties under protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. On March 3, 2020, it was removed from the list of poverty-stricken counties to achieve poverty alleviation. On July 29, 2020, it was selected into the national Health township (county) naming list for the 2017-2019 cycle. In 2020, the GDP of Zheng 'an County reached 12.273 billion yuan, an increase of 5.0% over the previous year.
