Zhengding County, subordinate to Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of Shijiazhuang, at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountains, with a total area of 486 square kilometers, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Zhengding County is a national historical and cultural city with a history of more than 1600 years. It has always been a county, state, road and government office. Zhengding County, formerly Zhending County, was the capital of Xianyu State at first, and then the capital of Zhongshan State. It was founded in Dongyuan County, which was established after the unification of China by the First Emperor of Qin. The name of "Zhending" was changed from Dongyuan County to Zhending County in the 11th year of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty (196BC), and finally changed to Zhengding County in the first year of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (1723). There are "nine floors, four towers, eight temples, and twenty-four gold medal squares" built in the county seat, known as the "treasure house of ancient architecture". Zhengding County is the hometown of Zhao Yun, a famous general of the Three Kingdoms. Zhao Yun is known as an ever victorious general and a man of courage. There are Zhaoyun Temple, Zilong Square and other scenic spots in the county seat.

Beijing Guangzhou Railway, Beijing Guangzhou High speed Railway, Beijing Zhuhai Expressway, Beijing Kunming Expressway and Shijiazhuang Huanghua Expressway pass through the territory. Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport is located in the territory. It is the permanent host of China International Digital Economy Expo, with Zhengding District of China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Shijiazhuang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Zhengding New Area, Zhengding High tech Industrial Development Zone and other functional areas.
