Zixing City, a county-level city administered by Chenzhou City, is located in the southeast of Hunan Province. It got its name because the old county was located by the Zixing River (today's Donghu River) in the Tang Dynasty. Zixing City is located in the upper reaches of the Xiangjiang River Basin, Lei water, in the west foot of the Xiaoxiao Mountains, the southern end of the Chayong Basin, for the intersection of Hunan, Guangdong, Jiangxi three provinces.
