Zunhua City, a county directly under the financial management of Hebei Province, has county-level cities under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, and is managed by Tangshan City. It is located in the northeast of Hebei Province and the northwest of Tangshan City. It borders Qianxi County in the east, Fengrun District and Yutian County in the south, Jizhou District in Tianjin in the west, and Xinglong County in the north, with a total area of 1521 square kilometers. There are 707000 permanent residents. As of October 2021, Zunhua has jurisdiction over 2 streets, 17 towns and 8 townships. The Municipal People's Government is located at No. 2, Haidu Road.

Zunhua means "to follow the teachings of Confucius and Mencius and educate the common people". It has a long history and is named "Millennium Ancient County" by the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names. At the beginning of Tianbao, Pingzhou Horse Buying Supervisor was set up 90 miles northeast of Yutian County. Later in the Tang Dynasty, Zunhua County was designated from Yutian County. Zunhua City is a high standard "ten counties" for geological disaster prevention and control, a national civilized city and a typical county in the whole agricultural industry chain.

In 2021, the GDP of Zunhua City will be 50.72 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%, the general public budget revenue will be 1.848 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%, and the added value of industries above designated size will be 25.01 billion yuan, an increase of 13.5%.
