Longyan City, also known as West Fujian, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province. It is located at the junction of the three provinces of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi in the west of Fujian Province. It is the famous old revolutionary base and the core area of the former Central Soviet Area. It is the hometown of the Red Army and one of the important starting points of the Long March of the Red Army. It enjoys the praise of "the Red Flag has not fallen for 20 years". It is also an important mining area and forest area in Fujian Province, and it is the tourist area with the most brands in West China. Longyan is the birthplace of the three most important rivers in Fujian Province - Minjiang River, Jiulong River and Tingjiang River. It used to be the paradise of "ancient Fujian people" in ancient times, the birthplace of "Minyue people", the capital of "South China Sea country" and its central area, the Hakka ancestral land that is famous at home and abroad, and one of the ancestral residences of Heluo people. More than 75% of the population in Longyan is Hakka. Longyan is a national experimental area for Hakka cultural and ecological protection. Changting is known as the "capital of Hakka", Tingjiang is known as the "mother river of Hakka", and Yongding Hakka Tulou is listed in the World Cultural Heritage List. The Hakka culture and Minnan culture blend here, which nurtures the unique quality of Longyan people's hospitality and diligence.

Longyan City is the national gold and copper industry base, the national special vehicle and emergency industry production demonstration base and the national new industrialization industry military-civilian integration demonstration base. It is building a green development base for rare earth industry and a digital economy industry development base; Six major industries, including nonferrous metals, machinery and equipment, culture, tourism and health care, new materials and new energy, digital and characteristic modern agriculture, have been initially formed. We will gradually build Longyan into a central city in the west of the economic zone on the west side of the Straits, an advanced manufacturing base, and an important national ecological city of red and Hakka culture.
