Ordos city

Ordos, meaning "numerous palaces" in Mongolian, is a prefecture level city under the jurisdiction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, located in the southwest of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, located in the hinterland of Ordos Plateau, between latitude 37°35 '24 "~ 40°51' 40" north, longitude 106°42 '40 "~ 111°27' 20" east, with a total area of 87,000 square kilometers. Ordos is a semi-arid continental climate area in the north temperate zone with great changes in winter and summer. As of 2018, Ordos has jurisdiction over 2 districts and 7 banners, and the municipal government is based in Kangbashi District. In the 26th year of the First Emperor of Qin (221 BC), he unified China and set up prefectures and counties in the present Ordos area. In 1907, in the 33rd year of Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty set up the Dongsheng Hall in the reclaimed area east of the Middle Banner of the Left wing of Ordos. On December 28, 1949, the Yimeng People's Self-Government Committee was renamed the Yimeng People's Self-Government of Suiyuan Province, and the Dalhu Special Zone People's Government was established in Huoluo, Wangqi of the former county. On April 30, 2001, The State Council approved the official name of the league was renamed Ordos City.
