Tacheng region

Tacheng region is the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, under the jurisdiction of Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture. It is located in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with the western Junggar Mountains in the north, the northern Tianshan Mountains in the south, and the Junggar Basin in the middle and east. It has many distinctive landforms and belongs to the arid and semi-arid climate in the temperate zone. Tacheng region was once an important channel from China to Central Asia. The highways, railways, Sino-Kazakhstan gas transmission pipeline and Fenghuang-Usu-Eili 750 transmission and transformation lines of four ports in the west and three ports in the north of Tacheng District traverse the whole territory, and the international intermodal transportation of four transnational railways, including Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe, must pass through Wusu City and Shawan County; The Quebec North Railway runs through Hobuksel County. Urumqi-Tacheng Expressway runs through the whole line. Civil Aviation Tacheng Airport has three flights to Urumqi every day, and the ring routes from Xinjiang to Altay and Ili have been opened.
