1. Port of Shanghai
Since ancient times, Shanghai has been the world's largest trading metropolis, and the port of Shanghai is also our largest port, one of the top ten ports in the world. Shanghai Port is located in the middle of China's coastline and the mouth of the Yangtze River. With railways and highways connecting all parts of the country, Shanghai Port is the hub center of cargo flow and has transportation with 150 countries and regions in the world. Shanghai Port has 96 berths, more than half of which are 10,000-ton class or above. The warehouse area is more than 400,000 square meters, and the storage yard area is more than 900,000 square meters. In 2021, Shanghai Port handled 47.033 million boxes, ranking first in the world for 12 consecutive years.
2. Port of Ningbo
Ningbo Port is composed of Beilun Port, Zhenhai Port, Ningbo Port, Daxie Port and Chuanshan Port. It is a multifunctional and comprehensive deep-water port that integrates inland port, estuary port and seaport. It has 309 productive berths and 60 berths above 10,000 tons. It has navigable routes to 600 ports in more than 100 countries and regions. In 2021, the container throughput of Ningbo Port reached 34.303,000 boxes, ranking second in China and third in the world.
3. Shenzhen Port
Shenzhen Port is the largest port in South China, located in the south of Pearl River Delta, with a major estuary. Shenzhen Port has 9 port areas, including Shekou, Chiwan, Mawan, Northeast corner, Yantan Futian Airport, Shayuyong, Inland River, and Xiadong. The port water area is 106 square kilometers, and the land area is 16 square kilometers. There are 113 berths, including 100 production berths and 26 deep-water berths above 10,000-ton class. Navigation to more than 300 ports in more than 100 countries around the world. In 2021, the container throughput of Shenzhen Port will reach 28.77 million boxes, ranking third in China and fourth in the world.
4. Port of Guangzhou
Guangzhou Port is located in the center of the Pearl River Delta. It is the largest comprehensive container trunk port in South China. It has interworking routes with 400 ports in more than 100 countries and regions. Guangzhou Port includes four major ports: Inner Port, Huangpu Port, Xinsha Port and Nansha Port, covering a water area of 20,000 square meters and a shoreline of 70 kilometers. It has a total of 643 berths, among which 46 are of 10,000-ton class or above.
5. Qingdao Port
Qingdao Port is a mega port in East China, which consists of three major ports: Qingdao Port, Huangdao Oil Port Area and Qianwan Port Area. There are 73 berths, including 6 50,000-ton berths, 6 100,000-ton berths and 2 300,000-ton berths. Production warehouse area of 40,000 square meters, storage area of 180,000 square meters. It has interworking routes with 450 ports in more than 130 countries and regions, and handled 23.71 million containers in 2021.
6. Tianjin Port
Tianjin Port is located in the west of North China and Beijing-Tianjin area of the waterway transportation hub, is one of the northern ports of large ports. Has 140 berths, including ten thousand ton class and more than 55. Tianjin Port has a total coastline of 32.7 kilometers, a water area of 336 square kilometers and a land area of 131 square kilometers. The throughput is also perennial solidly ranks first in the north, while Tianjin harbor is our country's first port that opens international container line. 2021 Tianjin harbor completes the throughput of 530 million tons, 20.27 million TEU. Throughput ranks eighth in the world.
7. Port of Dalian
Dalian Port is a large port in northeast China, with a water area of 346 square kilometers and a land area of 18 square kilometers. The port is open and deep, and does not freeze in winter. It has the most advanced 300,000-ton deep-water wharf, which is the import and export transfer center of grain, crude oil and ore in northeast China. Dalian Port has 71 berths, of which 28 are 10,000-ton or above.
8. Xiamen Port
Xiamen Port is located in the southeastern port of Xiamen and Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. It has a wide port, deep water, less fog and shelter from wind. The sea area of Xiamen is 275 square kilometers, mainly carrying the trade and transportation of Fujian and Jiangxi. With a berth of 379, it has 157 container routes, 99 of which are international routes. In 2021, the container throughput reaches 227.5 million tons, or 12.0457 million boxes, ranking 7th in China.
9. Suzhou Port
Suzhou Port is located at the junction of the Golden Waterway of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, including three port areas: Zhangjiagang District, Changshu Port, Taicang Port. Suzhou Port has excellent Yangtze River port line resources of 139.9 kilometers, port development coastline of 61.7 kilometers, with 312 berths. It is an important import and export port in Jiangsu. In 2021, the port throughput reached 8.11 million boxes, ranking 8th in China.
10. Beibeuwan Port, Guangxi
Beibu Gulf Port is located in Beibu Gulf in southern Guangxi Province. It is the closest port between China and Southeast Asia. It will generate 77 berths, 70 berths above 10,000 tons, 28 berths above 100,000 tons, 14 berths of 150,000 tons and 1 berths of 300,000 tons. In 2021, the container throughput was 6.01 million, ranking 9th.
