Jiujiang, referred to as "Xun" in ancient times and called Chaysang, Jiangzhou and Xunyang, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province. It is one of the regional central cities in Jiangxi Province, a dual-core city integrating Chang-Jiu, a sub-central city of Poyang Lake urban cluster, a member city of the urban cluster in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, a fulcrum city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and a regional modern central city of Jiangxi, Hubei, Anhui and Hunan.
